HOST’ is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to promote the sharing of skills and resources by enabling collaborative work via an online free or open-source platform between various organisations acting for solidarity. |

The HOST’ concept seeks to harness the diversity and the plurality of resource exchanges in order to optimise the means available for use in social and solidarity projects.
This approach is part of a process of improvement and professionalisation of the activities involved in the domain of assistance to others.
Everyone is a surprising source of knowledge and has considerable potential; such assets are easily forgotten if the occasion to use them does not arise.
However, should we consider those assets as precious resources that may be used other than for economic purposes and personal gain, then we would give them a completely different value.
It would be a shame to tolerate such a waste and to resign oneself to the fate of not being able to actually accomplish anything by and for oneself, in the aim of creating a fairer society.
The HOST’ project is wishing to fight this common idea and intends to federate all its energies to implement concrete and useful projects. This association will provide adequate tools and a coordination structure to all its solidarity partners. This will aim at the saving of a maximum of energy and the easy access to resources all over the world. |

HOST' objectives:
- To help non-profit organisations to find the human, material and financial resources they need in order to implement humanitarian projects.
- To offer to any person or organisation the opportunity to contribute professional skills and knowledge for the benefit of social and support projects.
- To enable the creation of a community work platform that will be up-to-date, interactive and intuitive. Using open source and free software, this will enable the optimisation and coordination of support and development activities.
- Similarly, the HOST bridge might have to serve as a springboard for other actions in solidarity with all other forms of expression (communication, TV, art, training ...) to convey the spirit of initiative and voluntary involvement what affects one way or another to the universal values and human rights. |
